Shoes! What better way to start …well anything. Deefined an innovative new brand that blends style and function by Dierdre Wallace was launched at midnight September 19^th in Los Angeles her first line was featured on Shoe TV (http://www.shoes.tv/video/my-first-collection-deefind-shoes). As a shoe lover I can honestly say that these shoes make me want to smash through my computer screen and try them on unfortunately that would be more costly than just going to http://www.deefind.net/store/ and ordering a pair for myself.  Being a sucker for pink my eyes go straight to The Urania; however each shoe is so unique it makes it impossible to just want one! Dierdre has an eye for design that makes you anxious to see more yet understands a girls need for utility with her signature pocket on The Jewelle model, a subtle super handy accessory for keys or cab fare on a girls night out! BRBE Spokesmodel Search

Sunday, September 18 2011. NEWARK California.
            The W Hotel in sunny Newark California graciously hosted the BRBE, Spokes model search with designer R. Shay Miles.    

After a day of practicing in the halls, interviews left and right, and the non-stop wondering as to who would win, the 30 models took to the runway. Clad in 13 Personalities a line that promotes individuality, they walked their fierce walk, even when technical difficulties arose these ladies were cool and calm under the pressure and pulled it off like the pros they are.

After the walk, judges took their leave to a private room to do some hard deliberation. The models then were at ease with family and doing promotional interviews most of whom were interview by BTV.

As an attendees we here at Behind the Velvet were also in excitement as to which five girls would move on the semi-finals, yes only five out of thirty, now you can see the judge’s dilemma. Judges lined up in front of the models, designer R. Shay Miles became teary eyed at the idea of letting go of any of these girls, having had much time to bond in the past few months working together.

The five models that made it to the semi-finals were: Liz Courter, Mercedes White, Melanie Renee Benjamin, Azaria Lewis, and Hannah Maxine Myles. All five beautiful contestants were overjoyed with having this opportunity; the other models have nothing to worry about like the judges said it was a tough decision. Congratulations to our FAB five and we shall see all the models again for the Halloween Ball, Saturday October 29^th 2011 6:30 pm- 12 am again at the W Hotel.

Behind the Velvet

Behind the Velvet- Entertainment News: MediaGUNZ a proposed 501-C marketing firm was formed in 2010 by Creative Director Steve Gonzales. From his business model a unique multi-media news program called " Behind the Velvet" took shape. Initially slated for promotional video, an electronic news gathering (ENG) and Electronic Press Kit (EPK) media service was concieved. Behind The Velvet (BTV) is first an online news program written, directed and produced by Steve Gonzales. Gonzales a documentary and short film producer for CinemaSports and SFSU, added bay area musician & runway model Feona Lee Jones as his BTV Associate Producer/Lead Reporter. Jones and Gonzales friends for 6 years now, can cover breaking entertainment news with an eye for fashion, film and music. With the addition of Fashion Editor Elle Monroe and Live Audio Technician Casey Fowler, Behind the Velvet will soon launch an E-news BTV blog and BTV podcast in 2011. MediaGUNZ-BTV services include: ENG, EPK, Press Release writing plus audio or video production crew members for hire.
